Bahria Icon Tower
Bahria Icon Tower is a skyscraper complex in the seaside of Clifton in Karachi
The complex includes a 62-storey tower, which at 300 meters (980 ft) is the tallest building in Pakistan and among the tallest buildings in South Asia.
The complex also includes an adjacent 42-storey hotel building
Project Goal
Due to the fast and speedy construction requirement of the project, the client/consultant found the solution to use the post-bar installation technique to connect the core wall with other superstructures. For this very critical and specialized job, they selected Mungo anchoring and fixing system products and a technical team to achieve up-to-the-mark performance.
Process
Rebar theory,
load transfer via existing reinforcement consideration of existing reinforcement
minimum concrete cover (2 cm – 5 cm) consideration of anchoring depth and lap splices design acc. to structural concrete codes
Result
After completing the project we got the appreciation letter by the client.
